Liquid chip technology is an advanced high-throughput molecular detection technology in recent years, integrating various technical advantages such as flow cytometry, fluorescent microspheres, laser technology, digital signal processing technology, etc., with the advantages of speed, simplicity, sensitivity, accuracy, and low cost. Compared with other detection technologies, liquid chip technology can detect multiple biomolecular indicators at the same time, such as proteins, nucleic acids, metabolites, etc. In animal genetic breeding, these molecular parameters can be used in important fields such as disease gene mapping, population fertility evaluation, kinship research, and genetic diversity analysis. This paper introduces the principle, advantages, and disadvantages of liquid phase chips and their application in animal genetic breeding, and provides a reference for assisting the development of new technologies for animal genetic breeding detection.

Muscle fiber is the basic unit of muscle, and the type of muscle fiber is an important factor affecting the quality of beef. In this paper, the characteristics and classification of muscle fibers and the effects of muscle fiber types on meat quality indexes such as pH, meat color, water holding capacity, tenderness, flavoured amino acids and intramuscular fat were systematically discussed, in order to provide theoretical reference for the comprehensive evaluation of beef quality and the production of high-quality beef.

Horn is the tissue structure evolved by animals in the process of long-term evolution, and is one of the most iconic structures of ruminants, which plays an important role in the survival and reproduction of cattle. However, in the modern intensive beef cattle breeding industry, the existence of horns often causes a series of problems, which hinders the development of the beef cattle breeding industry, so the study of hornless traits of beef cattle is very important. This paper introduces the morphological structure and developmental characteristics of beef cattle horns, summarizes the genes related to hornless and horned development studied in recent years, and introduces some methods of hornless beef cattle breeding, aiming to provide some references for the research on hornless traits of beef cattle and the cultivation of new hornless varieties of beef cattle.

This paper reviews the effects of different antioxidants on IVF and the synergistic effects of some natural antioxidants. Antioxidants can reduce or prevent the oxidative stress of oocytes resulting in DNA damage, enzyme inactivation, lipid peroxidation, oxidative changes of proteins, egg spindle morphology and abnormal chromosome arrangement.

The beef cattle industry in China started lately, and the beef cattle breeding industry is relatively backward. It is currently in a period of vigorous development. However, the development of the foreign beef cattle industry has a long history, and there are also various ways to promote high-quality beef cattle. This article firstly provides a detailed overview of the development history of the domestic and international beef cattle industry. As an important component of the beef cattle industry, the beef seed industry contributes over 40% to the beef cattle industry. The auction of beef cattle breeds was one of an important way of promoting good breeds. In order to provide reference for promoting the development of China's beef cattle breeds industry, we provided a detailed introduction to the factors that affect the auction prices of beef cattle breeds, and introduced the history of beef cattle auctions in different countries.

The aim of the study was to explore the heterosis of Simmental and Holstein, excavate its candidate genes associated with heterosis and analyze the genetic mechanisms of heterosis in cattle. 91 individuals including 9 Simmental bulls, 41 Holstein cows and 41 offspring of Simmental×Holstein were selected to conduct a genome-wide selection signal study using the illumina bovine GGP100k high-density chip. The top 1% of Fst value was used as the threshold. The results showed that 859 SNPs(Fst value >0.19) were selected by Fst within threshold of top 1%, and 249 candidate genes were annotated between F1 offspring and Simmental (paternal). In addition, 860 SNPs(Fst value >0.15) were selected by Fst, and 261 candidate genes were annotated between F1 offspring and Holstein (maternal). Gene pathway enrichment analysis found that the candidate genes were mainly enriched in the Axon guidance pathway (P<0.01), Focal adhesions and Prolactin signaling pathway (P<0.05) between F1 and parents, respectively. It was found that 38 genes related to growth and development, milk production, carcass, reproduction and meat quality traits of cattle, such as OXTR, CHKA, PRKN, were positively selected in F1. These findings will provide a reference for resolving genetic mechanisms of heterosis and guiding heterosis utilization.
