Chinese Livestock and Poultry Breeding was launched in January 2005 as a monthly journal. It is supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and sponsored by the Agricultural Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Professor Tian Jianhui, Vice President of China Agricultural University, serves as Honorary Editor-in-Chief, and Researcher Zhou Zhengkui, Deputy Director of the Institute of Animal Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, serves as Editor-in-Chief. The editorial board consists of 286 experts and scholars from 106 universities, research institutions, and related organizations across China, including 134 editorial board members and 152 young editorial board members.

Aims and Scope
Focusing on China’s national seed industry revitalization strategy, Chinese Livestock and Poultry Breeding is committed to advancing livestock and poultry seed industry research, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and cultivating scientific and technological talent for the seed industry. The journal publishes and promotes the latest research achievements in livestock and poultry seed industry and supports the development of China into a strong country in seed industry science and technology.
Coverage
The journal currently includes columns such as biotechnology, genetic breeding, conservation and utilization of resources, reproductive physiology, industry development, and new breed cultivation.
